The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect drove over Robert Boyd Johnston, 41, of Titusville, in an unidentified white 4 door sedan, and fled the scene in the area of Wager Avenue and Union Street.
Investigative evidence, including the surveillance photo of the vehicle released to the public by detectives, later identified as 2002 white Hyundai Sonata, ultimately led to the identity and subsequent arrest warrant issued for the suspect.
At approximately 9:15 PM on Friday, September 25, 2020, the Titusville Police SWAT team entered a residence on Warren Court and took the suspect into custody, only after several hours of standoff with police, in which the suspect refused to exit the residence.
