Titusville Police are investigating the shooting death of a local 61-year-old man.
On Sunday, December 27, 2020, at approximately 3 PM, Titusville Police responded to a report of shots fired in the parking area of the 500 block on Rock Pit Road in the Forest Park Apartment Complex.
Officers secured the scene, and located the gunshot victim inside of a maroon 2003 Saturn Ion sedan.
The preliminary investigation revealed the victim, Arthur Elbert Starks, of Brevard County, was making repairs to the vehicle and was shot by an unknown suspect(s), who then fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Starks was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 3:44 PM.
The suspect(s) are still at large.
