39-year-old Titusville woman dead after vehicle hits tree in East Orange County

A 39-year-old woman was found dead after vehicle crash on the side of an Orange County road Thursday morning.

The Titusville woman, who was not identified, was traveling at around 4 a.m. east in a sedan on Colonial Drive near St. Nicholas Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol’s Lt. Kim Montes.

For an unknown reason, the woman left the roadway and the left side of the vehicle struck a tree, Montes said. Troopers arrived and pronounced the driver dead at the scene, Montes said.

Troopers also found the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

No other details surrounding the death were revealed.

The crash remains under investigation
