Police Make Arrests and Seize Deadly Narcotics

On March 8, 2021, the Titusville Police Department Special Investigation’s Section executed a search warrant, with the assistance of multiple Brevard County and Federal law enforcement agencies, at a residence on the 1000 block of Pine Valley Lane, resulting in a large seizure of the deadly drug Fentanyl.

During the investigation, evidence revealed the suspect, who has a long criminal drug history and out of jail on bond for previous felony drug charges, was running a drug trafficking enterprise from his residence. Subsequently, a search warrant was issued for the house.

The warrant was executed by the Titusville Police Department SWAT team. As a result of the search, detectives and crime scene personnel seized over 19 grams of Fentanyl, a highly potent and lethal opioid that is often the main contributor in overdose deaths. Detectives estimate the street value of the seizure to be approximately $20,000.

ESSIE JUNIOR EVANS, 47, of Titusville, was charged with:

  • Sale of Fentanyl
  • Possession of Fentanyl

GABRIELLE MARY FRANCIS BRANTLEY, 23, of Titusville was charged with:

  • Possession of Fentanyl

Evans and Brantley were taken into custody without incident at the residence and booked into the Brevard County Jail.

“We remain committed to targeting and stopping anyone who is engaged in the selling of deadly narcotics in the City of Titusville”, said Special Investigations Sgt. Troy Barbour. “This agency initiative remains a top priority to stop the sale of Fentanyl and save lives”, added Barbour.
