Early Morning HeadOn Crash on 407 leaves 1 dead, 2 in Critical Condition

Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a vehicle crash around 3:30 Saturday morning on 407, near 528.

According the FHP, the U-Haul truck driver, identified as a 36-year-old man from Miami, was traveling southbound on SR-407 when he drove into the northbound lanes and struck a Tesla head-on, driven by a 20-year-old woman from Orlando.

The man from Miami was pronounced dead at the scene while his passenger inside his vehicle, identified as a 37-year-old woman from North Port, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The Orlando woman driving the Tesla was also critically injured and taken to a nearby hospital via LifeFlight.

The crash still remains under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
