Within a week, two threats have been found written on bathroom stalls at Titusville High School.
The first was apparently written on Friday last week and parents were notified by email of the incident on Monday morning
“I want to make you aware of an issue that recently came to my attention. A threat was found written on the wall in one of our bathrooms. We are still investigating, but so far have not found anything that would make this threat credible.Jennifer Gonzalez – THS Principal
We are thankful for the people who came forward to alert school leaders of the message.
The safety and security of our students and staff is always our top priority; therefore, as a precaution there will be extra security on campus.”
Parents then received another email Tuesday evening about a second threat written on a bathroom stall.
Principal Jennifer Gonzalez says “We have experienced another threat written on the wall in one of our bathrooms. This is the second time in less than a week. And like the earlier threat, there is no credibility to this latest threat. I want to take this opportunity to ask you to please talk with your children about the seriousness of making a prank threat. We take each threat seriously and investigate them thoroughly. The student(s) who make these threats do face the possibility of arrest.
Principal Gonzalez said that as a precaution there will be extra security on campus.
Parents also tell me that the bathrooms were closed on Tuesday.
